It is true some women have problems following Vaginal mesh surgery many years later however, there are many many more without any problem more than 15 years later. You may never have a problem but if you do, please seek help from a Urogynaecologist who willl deal with it or refer you to someone who can help you.
I think that it would be a good idea to see your GP in the first instance who may be able to answer your concerns. Alternatively, the GP may choose to refer you on to a gynaecologist for a clinical assessment and further advice.
I would initially see your GP for an assessment and then if necessary get a referral to your local urogynaecologist as there was a lot that can be done to improve your symptoms including mesh removal as a last resort if necessary.
