  • Dr Saha is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. He qualified from the University of Cambridge, (Trinity College) in 1994, with postgraduate training undertaken at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital in 1997.
    He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology. He has completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Sussex Cardiac Centre in Brighton, and St Thomas’s Hospital in London. His NHS appointment is as Consultant Cardiologist at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
    Dr Saha specializes in coronary angioplasty and stent insertion from either the wrist or the groin, and incorporates intravascular ultrasound , coronary pressure wire measurements, and rotational atherectomy as part of his repertoire of procedures performed.
    Therefore he is able to perform both the diagnostic angiogram, and stent insertion, in a single procedure.
    He has expertise in all aspects of general adult cardiology, but in particular angina and stent insertion. He also personally performs echocardiograms.
    Dr Saha has lectured at both national and international levels and published widely on various aspects of heart disease.
    His PhD was awarded by the University of London, and funded by the British Heart Foundation. His research investigated stem cells and their relationship with the injured heart.
    Urgent appointments can be made, by arrangement, on most days of the week.
