Polecam

  • Question about Depression

    Hi,
The doctor has added 15mg mirtazapine which I have been taking for 10 days but still no response. Is this normal?

    Thanks.

Mirtazapine, sold under the brand name Remeron among others, is an antidepressant primarily used to treat depression. Its full effect may take more than four weeks to occur, with some benefit possibly as early as one to two weeks. Regards/ Marta KG

  • Question about Depression

I have been treated for depression and PTSD for over 2 years
I have had an interview by the well-being team and they are waiting for a group appointment for me

Can you say that this is classed as a disability or not
I find it very hard to talk to people and will not tell anyone about my problems

Hello, depression as well as PTSD is treatable. In my opinion, you can get temporary disability up to 6 months in order to attend therapy and with right medication you should be able to cope. All depends of your psychiatrist and therapist. Their opinion matters most. Good luck and best regards.
