    Mr Walsh is my hero! By the time I met Mr Walsh I was extremely ill, he brought me confidence and calm. He removed a bleeding cavernoma successfully. Could not have wishes for more.

    About me

    • Daniel Walsh qualified as a doctor from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1993. His basic surgical training took place in Dublin and London and his Neurosurgical training was undertaken in Glasgow. He underwent specialist Fellowship training in Neurovascular Surgery with Professor Michael Morgan in Sydney, Australia.
      Mr Walsh's areas of particular interest are cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, cerebral revascularisation and stroke prevention, ELANA (Excimer Laser Assisted Non Occlusive Anastomosis), Moyamoya disease, general neurosurgery including tumours of the brain and spine and degenerative spinal disease. He is part of the multidisciplinary team at Guy's Hospital which supports the nationally commissioned neurofibromatosis service.
      He is a consultant neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital, London and honorary consultant neurosurgeon at Guys's and St Thomas' Hospital, London.Clinical Interests: Neurovascular surgery, general neurosurgery, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, von-hippel lindau disease.
      Cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, brain haemorrhage, stroke prevention and cerebral revascularisation, Excimer Laser Assisted Non-occlusive cerebrovascular bypass (ELANA), tumours of the neuraxis and degenerative spinal disease.
