Reviews of the doctors working in this clinic

  • Nasser Kurdy

    Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr.

    • U
      Location: Wythenshawe Hospital

Left in terrible pain after surgery at another hospital who couldn't diagnose the problem after numerous scans and tests. Mr Kurdy took 1 look at my ankle and knew immediately what to do. Put me at ease, was fantastic explaining the treatment and transformed my life by reducing the pain. Brilliant!

  • Gail Busby

    Gynaecologist, Dr.

    • A

Dr Busby is the most kind and caring doctor I have ever come across. She re-scheduled her day and drove from Manchester to Macclesfield on a Friday evening just to treat my acute bartholins abcess. She made a brilliant job, and has subsequently given me first class follow up treatments. A lovely lady!

  • George Settas

    Ophthalmologist, Mr.

    • A
      Location: Fitzwilliam HospitalService: cataracts

      Excellent:
The way I was looked after. Mr Settas told me about the multi lens, that could be implanted when had cataracts done, this enabled me not to have to wear glasses at all, even for close up. The procedure was painless, and the results are amazing. I am a man.

      Could be improved:
Nothing, except would be very helpful to have facility doing cataracts that are more difficult than the norm.

  • Philip Hirst

    Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr.

    • P
Location: Bridgewater HospitalService: Shattered tibia, torn ACL and PCL

      Excellent:
I am forever thankful to Mr. Hirst for repairing my tibia and the advice that followed. The accident happened in 1988 and to this day, my knee has had no problems. The torn ACL and PCL were not repaired (not done back then except for athletes); only high impact aerobics is a problem, so I avoid that.

My review dates back to an ACL replacement in 1990 where the patella tendon was used. The operation was novel at the time and turned out to be a success. Thanks
