  • Question about Gallbladder disease

My daughter was born with an abnormal gallbladder which has minimal dilation of the bile ducts. She has now developed a gallstone since her last review in December. Should I be considering surgery yet as she is only 1?

Incidental asymptotic gall stones do not require surgery at early age. Cholecystectomy should be considered if symptomatic or if we have radiological evidence of causing problems
