Information about Vasectomy

Is a minor sugical procedure tu cut and close off the two tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the urinary tract (vas deferens) so sperm can no longer get into the semen that is ejaculated during sex ,  therefore conception cannot occur. It takes only from 15-30 minutes and usually causes few complications and no change in sexual function.

The procedure to reverse a vasectomy is a much more complicated operation,  thus vasectomy should be considered a permanent form of birth control. Sterility does not occur immediately after the procedure is finished and another method of contraception must be used until having two semen samples tested showing a zero sperm count.
