If you are having an open or laparoscopic myomectomy the operation can go ahead as planned. If the fibroid is inside the uterus and you are having a hysteroscopic myomectomy (through the neck of the womb) the operation will have to be delayed as the surgeon can't see to safely perform the procedure.
